What causes space weather?

The sun is one of the main reasons that causes space weather. Things on the sun called coronal mass ejections. Will all of a sudden blow up with radiation termed solar flares an will cause space weather to effect the earth. Non - solar sources such as galactic cosmic rays and meteoroids and space debris can all be considered as causing space weather conditions at the Earth.
